How long have you been teaching?
Forty years.
Do you enjoy teaching?
Very much
Who is your favourite composer?
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
How old is your oldest pupil?
In her 80s I think !
Do you enter pupils for examinations?
Regularly.
What is your pupil’s examination pass rate?
Around 99%.
What examination board/s do you use?
The  A.B.R.S.M. & T.G.
Do you use any other examination boards?
Rarely.
Why did you give up school teaching?
Too much administration !
What sort of schools have you taught in?
Both the private and state sectors.
Would you like to be a Headmaster?
No !
What ambitions do you now have?
I would like to do  more composing.
Do you prefer the Flute or the Piano?
Sometimes one - sometimes the other !
Do you play for Flute candidates at examinations?
If they wish me to do so.
How much practice do you advise?
Make practice part of your life ~ like eating !
Are scales important?
Vital!
Who are your favourite performers?
Vladimer Horowitz and Lang Lang.
How much practice do you do each day?
As much as I can (Two hours)
At what age should a child begin?
Depends on individuals ~ 7 or 8 perhaps.
